Trap Rock, CT

2017-07-10 09.14.25I didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but Connecticut has some sweet climbing! No multi pitch, but definitely quantity and quality. There were at least 6/7 climbing areas surrounding where I was staying, plus some. Beautiful basalt walls that I’ve never climbed on before. The pictures I took really did no justice for the features of this rock. Thanks to Alisa for letting me and Jessie stay with you, showing us around, and being my climbing partner! So much variety and plenty of places to hike. Jessie girl was pooped by the third day. I was able to do my first off-width climb and it was so exhilarating. It paid off doing all those up/downs on the dihedral in the gym. Definitely something I’d love to practice outside more.

Tomorrow we head to the New in West Virginia. I’m so excited to climb and meet up with my Michigan friends again. Its going to be blast. 🙂
